Trainees are expected to have an awareness of the skills required to perform the role and an appreciation of how they are applied in Euromonitor’s environments. The objective of our training being to build in the requisite knowledge and experience so that trainees can progress and accede to the full working role, where they are able to confidently apply what they have learnt via requisite tools and techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

 

Network Engineering

• Improvement and expansion of existing network infrastructure both physical and virtual, plus the design, Implementation and configuration of contemporary network solutions on-premise plus WAN Connectivity (Branch to Branch and Cloud Estate).
• Lead network performance optimisation and network connectivity via ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting to find and fix faults and prevent outages. Including support to remote/on-site engineers.
• Infrastructure and Network status/incident notification to support teams on planned/unplanned events.
• Infrastructure/networking procurement and collaboration with outside vendors/contractors involved with configuration and/or set-up installation as required.
• Secure network systems by establishing and enforcing best practice policies and defining and monitoring access via suitable product tooling/services e.g. VPN.
• Vulnerability Assessment plus patching network firmware/software and password management
• Providing third tier support to all global staff/in-house support teams

 

System Administration

• Assisting 1st/2nd line support on issues escalated via the internal ticketing system
• Liaising with third party vendors/contractors on external support cases
• Working with other internal technology teams to investigate/resolve issues
  • Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
• Set-up and administration of user accounts, permissions/passwords and software
• Maintaining internal security groups and mailing lists
• Troubleshooting issues relating to file permissions, security groups and email groups
• Single Sign On integration via Azure Active Directory
  • Testing and deploying new versions/updates for new and existing systems
  • Vulnerability Assessment plus patching system firmware/software and password management

Infrastructure installation, configuration, availability and troubleshooting

o Capacity, backup/restore and redundancy strategies

o Disaster recovery contingency planning

o Internet Circuits/ISP implementations

o Storage considerations via SAN/DAS/NAS devices

Microsoft Office 365, Active Directory Domain Services & Identity management administration

Security oversight and endpoint account administration across the enterprise:

o Secure web browsing via Webroot's SecureAnywhere® DNS Protection

o Secure E-mail/content via Mimecast Advanced threat protection

o New generation Antivirus & spyware protection via Crowdstrike

Global office infrastructure projects

o Manage, execute and deliver upgrades to expectation in concert with project management teams.

o Asset/Inventory management including warranty/maintenance provision
