The role supports the RFXs and other customer requirements coming through sales and sales engineering team. Sales Engineers across the globe responds to Customer RFx and Global sales engineering support group would help to work on customer deliverables supporting regional sales team. Day-to-day work will include BoQ creation, network design simulations, answering customer queries. The role would require coordination with various supporting cross functional global team to meet business needs.

 

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• RFP Support
  • Self-sufficient to work on various RFx objectives such as Link Engineered Design, BOQ, Product SOC responses and Technical Solution Documents/Presentations.
• Collect the trends in solutions and technology and share relevant insights with PLM and SE leadership teams.
• Customer Presentations: Presenting solutions to the customers and answer relevant questions.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Electronics & Communications Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent
• Understanding of telecommunications industry with a particular focus on transport technologies and System/Sales Engineering operations.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

• Technical knowledge in fiber optics transmission systems (especially SDH, DWDM), telecommunication networks and network management, service layers support and management.
• Strong PC skills including general knowledge of applications programs such as MS Office – particularly excel.
• Deadline driven and willing to work outside normal hours to complete tasks.
• Ability to understand customer needs and use gained technical expertise to develop customer solutions.
• Ability to work in matrix organization

SKILLS

• Bachelors/master’s in Electronics and Communications and Computer Science engineering
• Strong PC skills including general knowledge of applications programs such as MS Office – particularly excel.
• Familiarity in C++
• Strong algorithmic skills
• Familiar with object-oriented design skills
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to tackle challenging problems and multitask
