DBATU B.Tech Students are little confused regarding the Passing criteria for academic year 2022-23.

Here we explained Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University (DBATU)'s passing criteria with conditions for being promoted (ATKT) for next academic year.

DBATU passing criteria

Go through the marking scheme for examinations of DBATU for more information. Following are the passing criteria for exams of DBATU in seperate passing and combined passing head.

  1. In seperate passing (1st year , 2nd & 3rd year students only),  no minimum marks out of total marks of mid sem exam and class assessment but minimum 20 marks out of 60 marks (ETE) are mandatory for each subject.
  2. In case of combined passing (2022 passout students only), minimum 40 marks out of 100 marks (ETE+MTE+CA) are mandatory for each subject to pass the examination. There is no minimum marks condition for end sem exam.
  3. In case of remedial exam, minimum 20 marks out of 50 marks are mandatory and grace marks will not be given for any subject.

Students clearing all subjects of the respective academic year (winter and summer) will be deemed to have passed in the examinations.
Students failing in any subject will be treated as promoted (ATKT) or failed based on number of credits earned.

As the discussion made in AC minutes meeting , The minimum marks for passing is decided as "Every student of B.Tech should get a minimum of 20 marks out of 60 from end semester examination". There will be no minimum marks to pass in mid semester and Continuous Assessments. This decision was made for students admitted after 2019 and the students which are studying in 1st , 2nd and 3rd year students.

This all detailes are according by 2019-2020 Batch , but after covid- pandemic there is no special update by dbatu official regarding changes in passing criteria.

In winter semester exam results , the passing was declared as combined for every year students because it was the very first offline written exam after pandemic. But this time it is expected that passing will be seperate as per GR released in 2019.
