According to the UGC, enrollment occurs regardless of the stream, university or year the student is currently in. Starting in the coming academic year, students can earn two degrees at the same time.

Speaking to the media,  UGC President M. Jagdeesh Kumar said, "I hope that with NEP, more and more universities will open up and allow flexibility for students." For example, if admission  to one course is offered based on JEE score and another based on  CUET,  students must pass both entries.

UGC will be releasing detailed guidelines on this very soon. “As announced in the new National Education Policy (NEP), and  to allow students to earn multiple skills, UGC is introducing new policies that allow a candidate to complete two degree programs in physical mode.
