1.Replacement of Relative grading with Absolute Grading:

66-70 | 7.0 | CC |

51-55 | 5.5 | DE |
50-50 | 5.0 | EE |
<40 | 0.0 | FF |
The Class will be awarded based on the CGPA for all eight semesters of B.Tech. Program for
5.0s CGPA < 5.50 Pass Class
5.5 ≤ CGPA < 6.00 Second Class
6.0 ≤ CGPA < 7.50 First Class
CGPA ≥ 7.50 Distinction
2. Minimum passing marks at the B.Tech End-Semester Examinations - Carrying 60% marks Every student of B.Tech should get a minimum of 20 marks out of 60 marks from End-Semester Examination, to clear the course. This becomes effective from First Year B.Tech of the academic year 2019-20 onwards.
This all detailes are according by 2019-2020 Batch , but after covid- pandemic there is no special update by dbatu official regarding changes in passing criteria, there might be any changes in future with dbatu Passing criteria for students admitted in 2021-22 academic year means first year students admitting in 2021.
