Fresher hiring sentiment across companies is gradually improving, with the IT Sector alone offering 31% entry-level jobs. IT is the only sector expected to extend double-digit increments with some digital/e-commerce companies planning to give some of the highest increments.

Following the same trend, Indian IT giants TCS & Tech Mahindra are planning to hire three times more freshers. The companies are looking to hire people for artificial intelligence, internet of things, and space technology.

Tech Mahindra's MD and CEO C P Gurnani said that the company hired 5,200 people in the quarter to take its overall strength to over 1.26 lakh, and will continue to hire at the same or an accelerated pace in the remaining fiscal year as well.

Tech Mahindra has also partnered with EdTech startup CareerLabs to transform over 3,000 graduates into skilled professionals. Upon successful completion of the training, students will get an opportunity to be placed at Tech Mahindra in roles across different verticals. See details here.

Currently, the company is also hiring experienced professionals for the positions of Sr. Engineer, Sr. Software Engineer, Test Lead, and Support Consultant, etc across India.
