Building AI

Building AI is a free online course where you’ll learn about the actual algorithms that make creating AI methods possible. Some basic Python programming skills are recommended to get the most out of the course.

Building AI is for anyone who wants to improve their AI-related vocabulary and skills, including non-programmers and people who can program in Python. By taking the course, you'll learn more about what makes different AI methods possible and where and how these methods can be applied in real life. The course content is free of charge, but if you'd like to give yourself a boost to finish the course, you can reward yourself by purchasing a shareable certificate.

We recommend you to complete Introduction to AI before starting the Building AI course, but this is not a prerequisite.

Each exercise has three difficulty options (beginner, intermediate, advanced). To pass the course, you have to complete at least 19/21 exercises with 50% correctness.

Elements of AI

A free online course for everyone interested in AI - no complicated math or programming required.

The goal of the course is to demystify Artificial Intelligence (AI). It provides a gentle introduction to the basics that enables you to understand what is possible, and what isn't, and to recognise how AI is affecting our lives. After the course, you will be able to define and discuss AI, be critical about AI-related claims, explain the underlying technologies including machine learning and neural networks and understand the major implications of AI.

Completing the course will require some work. To truly understand the content, expect to study and review all sections carefully.

Your chances of completing the course are significantly better if you study with friends, colleagues or the Elements of AI community on Spectrum. We also encourage participating in online discussions.

For getting the certificate, you need to complete at least 90% of the exercises and get 50% of the exercises right, which include multiple choice quizzes, numerical exercises, and questions that require a written answer.
