UGC ISSUES GUIDELINES ON EXAMINATION, ADMISSION AND ACADEMIC CALENDER, Exams for Final Year Students in August, Start New Session in October: UGC issued new guidelines
The University Grants Commission(UGC) has released exam guidelines and the academic calendar for admissions to all universities and colleges in view of the ongoing COCID-19 pandemic.
As per the circular issued by the University Grants Commission, universities have been asked to complete the Final Year/ Semester Exams by August 31, 2021. Higher Education Institutions shall ensure that the admission process for undergraduate courses/programmes for the academic session 2021-2022 commences only after the declaration of results by the CBSE, ICSE, and State Boards.
The circular stated that University Admissions 2021-22 to the first year courses/programmes shall be completed no later than September 30, 2021. The last date for admissions to fill up the remaining vacant seats shall be October 31, 2021, and the relevant documents of the qualifying examination can be accepted up to December 31, 2021. The academic session 2021-2022 shall commence latest by October 1, 2021, for first semester/year students.
When it comes to the Academic calendar 2021-22, the UGC stated that for students of the intermediate semester/year, the Higher Education Institutions may start their academic session (in online/offline/blended mode) as early as possible, following the guidelines/directions related to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The University Grants Commission (UGC) has asked colleges to hold exams for final-year college students “mandatorily” while for the intermediate classes which are first and second-year students.
There will not be any final exams According to the guidelines, admissions to first-year courses for 2021-22 must be completed by no later than September 30, 2021, while the new academic session will have to commence by October 1 following the admission procedure.

• The guidelines issued by the UGC states that universities must complete the Final Year/ Semester Exams by August 31, 2021.
• Higher Education Institutions can commence admission for new session undergraduate courses/programmes after the declaration of results by the CBSE, ICSE, and other state boards.
• Universities can fill up the remaining vacant seats till October 31, 2021, and the relevant documents of the qualifying examination can be accepted up to December 31, 2021.
•n The UGC further said that for students of the intermediate semester/year, the Higher Education Institutions can start their academic session (in online/offline/blended mode) as early as possible following COVID-19 protocol.
In case there is a delay in the declaration of results, Higher Education Institutions can plan and start the academic session by October 18.
• A full refund of fees can be given by colleges and universities on account of all cancellations of admissions/ migrations of students up to October 31 as a ‘special case.’
• In case of cancellation/ withdrawal of admissions up to December 31, 2021, the entire fee collected from a student would be refunded after deducting not more than Rs.1000/- as a processing fee.

- All Class 12 Board Exam Results expected to be out by July 31
- College & University Admissions for UG courses to commence only after Class 12 Board exam results of CBSE, ICSE & State Boards are announced

- Next academic session of this batch (incoming batch’s second year) to begin by August 1, 2022
नवी दिल्ली : विद्यापीठ अनुदान आयोगाने महाविद्यालये आणि विद्यापीठांसाठी शैक्षणिक वेळापत्रक जारी केलं आहे. त्यामध्ये महाविद्यालयाच्या पहिल्या वर्षासाठीची प्रवेश प्रक्रिया ही 30 सप्टेंबरपूर्वी पूर्ण करावी जेणेकरुन 1 ऑक्टोबरपासून नियमित सत्र सुरु केलं जाईल अशा प्रकारचे निर्देश दिले आहेत.
शेवटच्या वर्षाच्या परीक्षा या 31 ऑगस्टपूर्वी घेणं आवश्यक असून त्या ऑनलाईन वा ऑफलाईन पद्धतीने घेण्यात याव्यात असे निर्देश विद्यापीठ अनुदान आयोगाने विद्यापीठांना दिले आहेत.
इंटरमिडिएट विद्यार्थ्यांचे मूल्यांकन हे आधीच्या सेमिस्टरच्या आधारे करण्यात यावं, त्या संबंधी 2020 साली दिलेल्या गाईडलाईन्सचे पालन करावं असंही विद्यापीठ अनुदान आयोगाने स्पष्ट केलं आहे.
बारावीचा निकाल 31 जुलै रोजी लागणार आहे. या निकालानंतर महाविद्यालये आपली प्रवेश प्रक्रिया सुरु करु शकतात. जर काही कारणामुळे बोर्ड परीक्षेचा निकाल लांबला तर महाविद्यालये 18 ऑक्टोबर 2021 पर्यंत आपले शैक्षणिक सत्राला सुरुवात करण्याचे नियोजन करु शकतात असंही विद्यापीठ अनुदान आयोगाने स्पष्ट केलं आहे.
देशभरात आलेल्या कोरोनाच्या दुसऱ्या लाटेचा परिणाम शाळा आणि महाविद्यालयांच्या परीक्षांवर झाल्याचं दिसून आलं आहे. दहावी आणि बारावीच्या परीक्षा रद्द करण्यात आल्यामुळे महाविद्यालयांच्या प्रवेश प्रक्रिया कशा पार पाडायच्या यावर खलबतं झाली. शेवटी त्या-त्या राज्यांतील सरकारांनी यावर तोडगा काढला. महाराष्ट्रात पदवीच्या अंतिम वर्षाच्या परीक्षा रद्द करण्यात आल्या आहेत. आजवरच्या सेमिस्टरच्या मूल्यांकनावरुन पदवीचा निकाल लावणार असल्याचे राज्य सरकारच्या वतीनं सांगण्यात आलं आहे.
