Various University Students Demand Reduction In Syllabus For academic Exams 2020 21
Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) had recently decided that it will only reduce the syllabus of the second-semester examination for the Bachelor of Science (BSc) by 30%.
However, due to the pandemic teaching, many courses are still incomplete. Also, there are many difficulties in understanding online education. Therefore, there is a demand being put forth by students that the syllabus of all courses should be reduced by 30% and exams should be taken on 70% of the syllabus.

The university’s second-semester exams will be held online. Except for science, other disciplines will have a 100% syllabus for this examination.
“Due to the closure of colleges, courses have not been taught in many colleges. In such a situation, the question arises as to how it was decided to take the exam on the entire syllabus. Therefore, the demand to conduct examinations of all branches on 70% of the syllabus was made to the officials of Pune university” said Kalpesh Yadav, city president of Maharashtra Navnirman Vidyarthi Sena.
“Students of many courses including MSc, Engineering, MBA, have demanded curriculum cuts for the exams. Many colleges have not completed the course. Exams should be based on the syllabus taught” demanded Kamlakar Shete, vice-president of Yukrand.
