Maharashtra University Exams 2021: Both online, offline exam options to be open for students, says Uday Samant
Maharashtra University examinations 2021 would be conducted in both online and offline mode. State Higher Education Minister Uday Samant announced the same on Saturday.
In regards the Maharashtra University Exams 2021, the State Higher and Technical Education Minister Uday Samant has said that exams would be conducted in both online and offline mode. He shared that both online and offline exams option would remain open for students this year. Speaking to reporters in Nanded, the minister confirmed the same but left the process to be decided at the university level.
"The option to appear for examinations in the online or offline modes will be kept open for students. This was decided at a meeting of vice-chancellors of universities in the state," he said. This comes at a time when the students across the state have been asking for online examinations as opposed to offline exams
The announcement followed a massive online campaign by students, demanding that the examinations be conducted online instead. With permission now available to reopen colleges in the state, many institutes have been leaning towards offline exams.
Amid the coronavirus outbreak, university examinations in Maharashtra will be through online as well offline modes for the convenience of students, state higher and technical education minister Uday Samant said here on Saturday.
Speaking to reporters in Nanded, Samant said the implementation of this process would be decided at the university level.
"The option to appear for examinations in the online or offline modes will be kept open for students. This was decided at a meeting of vice-chancellors of universities in the state," he added.
Mumbai University, so far, has not made any announcement regarding the mode of the semester end exams. Colleges and schools in Mumbai area continue to remain closed as BMC has not given its permission as yet for reopening.
