As far as first-year UG and PG students are concerned, classes would start in offline mode from January 11 for students enrolled in non-professional courses whose admission has not been conducted by the Common Entrance Test (CET) cell.

Students will finally be seen at the college campuses starting from January 11 as late on Monday night, the administration of savitribai phule pune approved the reopening of colleges and university departments for classroom lectures and practicals.

According to a circular issued by Uttam Chavan, deputy registrar said that theory, practical, and dissertation work for odd semesters for students of all undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral students from the second year and above, will start from next Monday.

The detailed circular regarding colleges reopening is as follows :

 

The circular states, “In continuation with Circular No. 284 and 285 dated 15/10/2020 regarding Commencement & Conclusion for First and Second terms for the Academic Year 2020-21 and Circular No. 323/2020 dated 03/12/2020, it is hereby informed to all the concerns that the University issues following guidelines to conduct theory and practical classes in offline mode: 

P.G. Programme: 1. The practical / Summer Internship Project / Dissertation (Theory if required) classes of Odd Semesters of second year and onwards of Engineering / Architecture / Pharmacy / Management / Hotel Management / Education / Physical Education / Law and other similar programs shall begin from 11th January 2021 in offline mode. 

2. The practical/ Dissertation / Industrial Training Project (Theory if required) classes of Odd Semesters of second year and onwards of Arts / Fine Arts / Science / Commerce/ Social Sciences / Library Science / Communication & Journalism and other similar programs shall begin from 11th January 2021 in offline mode. 

3. The Theory and Practical classes of odd semesters of First year of Arts / Fine Arts / Science / Commerce / Social Sciences / Library Science / Communication & Journalism and other similar programs shall begin from 11th January 2021 in offline mode. 

4. The Theory and Practical classes of even semesters of all programs shall be conducted in offline mode immediately after completion of odd semester examination in accordance with the guidelines issued by University Grants Commission, Government of Maharashtra and Local Authorities from time to time. 

U.G. Programme: 1. Practical classes of Odd Semesters of Second year and onwards of Engineering / Architecture / Pharmacy / Management / Hotel Management / Education / Physical Education / Law and other similar programs shall begin from 11th January 2021 in offline mode. 

2. Practical classes of Odd Semesters of Second year and onwards for Science courses shall begin from 11th January 2021 in offline mode. 

3. Practical of Odd Semesters of Second year and onwards of Arts / Fine Arts / Commerce / Social Sciences/library Science / Communication & Journalism and other similar programs (if applicable) shall begin from 11th January 2021 in offline mode. The practical of T Y. B. A. and T Y B. Com. (Annual Pattern), if applicable shall also begin from 11th January 2021 in offline mode. 

4. Theory and Practical classes of even semesters of all programs shall be conducted immediately after completion of odd semester examination shall be conducted in offline mode in accordance with the guidelines issued by University Grants Commission, Government of Maharashtra and local Authorities from time to time. 

First year of P.G. / U.G. of Non-Professional Programs: 

1. Commencement of theory and practical classes of all P.G. programs (whose admissions were not made under the Common Entrance Test conducted by Government of Maharashtra or Competent Authority) 11th January 2021 in offline mode. 

2. Commencement of practical of all U.G. programs of First year (whose admissions were not made under the Common Entrance Test (CET) Examination conducted by Government of Maharashtra or Competent Authority) shall begin from 11th January 2021 in offline mode. 

First year of P.G. / U.G. of Professional Programs: Commencement of theory and practical classes of first year of Professional programs (whose admissions are being made under the Common Entrance Test (CET) Examination conducted by the Competent Authorities) shall begin in offline mode as per the dates declared by the competent authorities. 

M. Phil. / PhD Programs: The research work of M. Phil./ Ph.D. program shall begin from 11th January 2021 in offline mode.

General Instructions: 1. The Principals / Directors and Heads of the University Departments should follow the guidelines issued by the University Grants Commission vide its letter No. F.2-30/14 (General Circular/WRO) dated 6th November 2020 for Re-opening the Universities and Colleges Post Lockdown due to COVID-19 pandemic, Govt. Circular No. Sankirna2020/Pra.Kra.140/5D-6 dated 10th November 2020 and guidelines issued by Local Authorities from time to time.  

2. The schedule of Commencement and Conclusion of Academic Year 2020.21 as per Circular No. 284/2020 and 285/2020 dated 15/10/2020 shall remain unchanged.”

The circular states that all departments and affiliated colleges will have to follow the guidelines of the University Grants Commission regarding reopening. Meanwhile, once the work of odd semesters is done, theory and practical work can commence for even semesters in the offline mode.

As far as first-year UG and PG students are concerned, classes would start in offline mode from January 11 for students enrolled in non-professional courses whose admission has not been conducted by the Common Entrance Test (CET) cell. While the commencement of theory and practical exams for all first-year students of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes whose admissions have taken place through CET will be declared by competent authorities

Talking about , Dbatu University that it is  also conducting all the backlog examination in proctored manner / online from  28th  Dec 2020. as per the Dbatu academic calendar2020- 2021, first semester has been completed (all the theory lectures)  by all the affiliated colleges through online mode & soon regular examination will be conducted for  all the departments , But still there is no update yet from dbatu officials regarding Regular examination of first semester 2020-21 & practical oral viva examination 2021 of the first sem 

As All the Engineering, Phamacy & articheture  Backlog proctored examination is being conducted in Dec 2020 to January 2021 . Probably  first sem Regular examination might be conducted in Febuary 2021 , As per the dabtu academic schedule regular examination was scheduled inbetween 20 dec to 20 january  2021 but due to proctored backlog/ supplementary examination it has been delayed .

Likewise , dbatu regular exam , oral, viva & practical examination  also can be conducted through offline/online mode probably , tentatively in Feb 2021 as after dbatu proctored examination 2020-2021 . second(even) semester lectures for all UG , PG & diploma courses may also be conducted from feb 2021 in actual offline mode .

But still there is no update & circular  yet from Dbatu officials regarding actual college reopening & regular semester examination 2020-21
