FACTS about DBATU online proctored supplementary exam Dec 2020, Exam tool, Camera, Mic permissions ,problems during examination , solutions.

After reviewing examination portal by DBATU , we enlisted some points about the examination which is being online proctored method. Camera / Mic should be open ? in case of any issues , what to do ; all points are mentioned in below article.

It is observed that you cannot check previous question if you attempted that question once. Many student thought that it is a problem but it is true that if you clicked next then you cannot edit the option submitted for that question.

Permissions given to portal:

It has been identified as examination portal requests access of 

Camera

For monitoring purpose. Constant monitoring is observed in examination so the examination will be smoothly run with transparency.

It is mandatory for students to sit properly in front of mobile / laptop / desktop during examination. Any disturbance during examination is straight monitored by the examination team . Movements during exam will be recorded and action can be taken afterwards.

It is seen that microphone access is not required during examination .

Therefore no audio is recorded during exam.

About Exam :

Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University released notification about conducting supplementary examinations from 28 Dec 2020. The pattern for the exam is as follows:

• The examination will be conducted by online mode having multiple choice questions.   
• The question paper will consist of 60 questions. 
• Candidate need to solve 40 questions
• Each question will carry 1.5 marks.

1)  The examination will be conducted by online mode having multiple choice questions. Student will be giving examination sitting at their place using Android based mobile or laptop or desktop with inbuilt camera on.

2) No any other person sitting with student while examination is going on. Student should not leave the place from start to end of examination etc.  

3) Link, username and password for examination will be received by student on their register mobile number/email id day before examination date

4)Students have to hold I-Card/ Adhar Card while taking first photograph for identification.

Isssues in network / any external factor :

If you face any technical issue during examination , you can contact to coordinator alloted by your college. You can make enquiry about your respective coordinator to your college . Any technical issues should be reported immediately with coordinator. Exam window will be open for 3 hours so there is no need to be panic about timing.

About proctored examination:

With the various cutting-edge tools and features provided by Remote Proctoring services it is now possible for a proctor to carefully observe an online exam live or a recording of the same. In an auto proctored online examination, the software is used to detect any instances of suggestive cheating automatically through technology.

Proctored exams are timed exams that you take while proctoring software monitors your computer's desktop, webcam video and audio. The data recorded by the proctoring software is transferred to a proctoring service for review. ... The software also records video and audio from your webcam.

 Proctor exam tool cannot access your computer files without your knowledge. With permission from the test taker, proctors have the ability to view the screen and move the mouse and keyboard as if he or she were sitting next to the test taker.
