Academic Second semester 2020-21 scheduled from January 2021 to to  May 2021- MU , how about dbatu, sppu & other universities ? 

With examination to most undergraduate courses coming to an end, the University of , Mumbai (MU), Mumbai University  has clarified that the second-term academic  semester  for the 2020-21 academic year will commence from January 1 to May 31, 2021.

Summer vacations have been scheduled & declared  from June 1-13, 2021. the same  circular to this effect has been shared with all affiliated colleges this week for this semester & taking various opinions for next academic session

All faculties including traditional (arts, commerce and science)& various Egineering Departments as well as interdisciplinary studies have followed first-term from August 7 to December 31. The second-term will take place between January 1 to May 31, and the summer holidays will take place from June 1 to 13,” states the circular.as previously 

As per Mumbai univerities November 18 circular, affiliated colleges are supposed to hold online exams for the current batches of undergraduate courses by December 2020, and all the postgraduate exams should be conducted in January 2021. Following this, the Bombay University and College Teachers’ Union (BUCTU) approached MU’s vice-chancellor, seeking postponement of first-year degree college exams.

Teachers highlighted that due to delay in admissions to first-year courses, most colleges have not managed to teach the mandatory 90 days before exams, making it impossible to hold exams in December.

the varsity in the first week of December released a circular clarifying that all affiliated colleges should complete first-term examinations for their first-year batches by January 9, 2021. “Most exams will be completed by this month-end, so it makes sense to start the new term in January2021

Talking about savitribai phule University , all the regular exams , practical exams , viva are postponed to the next semester & will be conducted in 2nd semester . all the backlog /ATKT exam have been conducted in Dec 2020. probably second semester will also start in January 2021 for the SPPU

Likewise , Dbatu University are also conducting all the backlog examination in proctored manner / online from  28th  Dec 2020. as per the Dbatu academic calendar2020- 2021, first semester has been completed by all the affiliated colleges through online mode & soon regular examination will be conducted for  all the departments , But still there is no update yet from dbatu officials regarding Regular examination of first semester 2020-21

As All the Engineering, Phamacy & articheture  Backlog proctored examination will be conducted in Dec 2020 to January 2021 . Probably  first sem Regular examination might be conducted in January Febuary 2021 , As per the dabtu academic schedule regular examination was scheduled inbetween 20 dec to 20 january  2021 but due to proctored backlog/ supplementary examination it has been delayed .

Dbatu Second semester for the academic year 2020-21 might be start at the end of Feb 2021, in online/ offline mode , but still there is no official update yet from Dbatu Officials , somwait till further announcments
