Engineering exams are most asked question in these days today , because this is the first time that total semester is taken as online and internal tests , assignments and other activities.This semester is started in August / September commonly (slight different for univerisities). According to All India Council for Technical Education [AICTE] academic calendar , semester commencement dates are around 1st of September for non first year students.

After analyzing the different academic calendars of different univerisities for engineering of Maharashtra , in December the semester syllabus can be completed and classes can be ended for current semester. The academics including lectures / assesments / class tests are conducted as per academic timetable with short tolerance in dates by online mode.

As per DBATU academic timetable classes will end on 5th Dec ; practical and seminar examination will conducted from December 16 - December 18 and end semester examinations will be from 20 Dec to 20 Jan in one month duration.

And SPPU academic timetable has given dates for class ending will be at 5th Dec and new semester will begin from 1st jan. 

This shows that examinations are supposed to happen in December month. The question still occurs with the mode of examinations.UGC given guidelines to reopen colleges but no decision is made by Maharashtra Government because of covid situation .According to UGC guidelines :final year students may also be allowed to join for academic and placement purposes, as per the decision of the head of the institution.Depending on the availability of space in class rooms or learning sites, up to 50% students may be allowed on a rotation basis to attend the classes.

If Universities plan to conduct examinations in december only then the exam has to be in online mode , if government planned to reopen institutes in december then there are chances that exam may be offline / in college. If univerisity planned to wait for the reopening of institutions then also exam may be offline / in college.But at this moment , nothing can be properly predicted.
