Maharashtra Deputy CM Ajit Pawar on Sunday hinted at a Covid-induced lockdown in the coming days in the state owing to huge crowds witnessed during the recently concluded festival period & not following the general guidelines to prevent corona spread

The state government has allowed reopening of schools for classes 9 to 12 from 23rd Nov 2020 depending on the Covid-19 situation in local areas. and total decision has given to the local bodies . colleges and institutions has permitted to reopen from 23rd Nov by AICTE & UGC but the final decision has given to state body.  because of increasing corona patients , and fear of 2nd corona wave , state gov is still thinking  and not confirmed about colleges reopening.

The corona crisis is still not over and Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has warned of a tsunami, not a Karona wave. He cited the example of cities where the number of patients is increasing, saying that the crisis has not been averted despite the relaxation of the Corona lockout. He had said that he did not intend to lock up immediately. Meanwhile, state health minister Rajesh Tope has said that the state will impose restrictions again and the chief minister also wants it

Although the lockdown will not be imposed, the relaxed restrictions will be re-imposed. The announcement will be made in the next two days after a meeting with the Chief Minister. As the rules of social distance are not being followed, a tough decision has to be taken,  Stating that the Unlock process does not mean that the pandemic is over, Thackeray asked the people to remain cautious.

In a webcast, he said even though people were largely adhering to the COVID-19 safety protocols, many others were still not following the directive of mandatory use of masks and still venturing out into crowded places.

The state government has no plans to start suburban rail services for all as the number of corona patients is increasing. Crowds are on the rise in the state due to the rush for Diwali shopping and other occasions in the markets, chowpatas, beaches and other tourist spots, public places. Further measures should be taken to ban corona in schools and colleges, tourism and public places without following any rules.
