AICTE- again released new revised academic calendar 2020-2021 , Now classes will start from 1st December instead of Nov 1st 2020

Revised Academic Calendar for A/Y 2020-21

AICTE Released new revised academic calendar for academic year 2020-2021 and sent notice regarding the same to all universities of different states in India and respective affiliated colleges 

As we all are aware, that the country is going through a National Emgrgency that has been prolonged due to the extended outbreak of COVID 19.

This office had issued detailed guidelines on Academic Calendar for A/Y 2O2O-21 Academic Calendarl2020-21 dated 1 3-08-2020.

Due to prolonged emergent conditions in the Country and requests from various State Governments and ongoing admission process of llT's and NIT's, the Council has extended the last date of admission to first year Engineering courses (UG and Diploma lateral entry) to 30th November,2O2O.

Accordingly last date of commencement of classes of  all the UG & PG first year  will start from  1st December 2020

as previously AICTE had released academic calendar mentioning that all the classes for the acADEMIC year 2020-2021 will start from Nov 1st and all the admission process and final year examination will be conducted till 3oth October 2020 but due to some covid-19 situation AICTE again made changes in Academic calendar 2020-2021 .

It has been previously  instructed by the UGC that on completion of the admission process by October 30, all universities should start their classes from November 1. If the admission process is delayed, colleges can start classes from 18 November. According to the notice issued by the UGC, universities may have to hold classes for 6 days a week for academic loss due to the ongoing Kovid-19 epidemic.

Universities will be free to conduct classes in online or offline mode as per the convenience of students or teachers. In the event of cancellation of admission, universities will have to refund the full fees. The UGC has also directed that merit-based admissions in all affiliated colleges should be completed by 31 October, so that there is no loss of academic year for the students as well as the faculty.
