GATE 2021 conducting team making some useful changes in Registration & conducting Exams 

Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is a national examination conducted jointly by Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore and seven Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) at Bombay, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras and Roorkee on behalf of National Coordination Board (NCB)-GATE, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India. GATE examination is a Computer Based Test (CBT).

As we all know, the conducting body / institution of GATE Examination 2021 is IIT Mumbai

Qualifying in GATE is a mandatory requirement for seeking admission and/or financial assistance to Postgraduate Programs (Master's and Doctoral) with Ministry of Education (MoE) and other Government Scholarships / Assistantships, subject to the admission criteria of the admitting institute.The GATE score is also used by some Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) for their recruitment and by several other universities in India and abroad for admissions.

GATE 2021 score will remain valid for THREE YEARS from the date of announcement of results

Director of  IIT Mumbai and Gate examination 2021 Conducting body Subhasis Chaudhuri has mentioned changes in GATE examination Registration & Cities 

"Regarding GATE 2021, some of the candidates found it difficult to select the preferred city of the test center due to prevailing uncertainty. In order to help these candidates, the GATE Team is making an useful change during the registration.

1) First you can go ahead with the registration with any city as a choice.

2) Then you wait till 28th Oct when the portal will be open again till Nov 13th for you to make changes in your choice of city free of cost.

3) This would be the final choice.
